Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Molecular Biologist to join our dynamic research and development team in Sugar Land, Texas. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, executing, and analyzing complex molecular biology experiments, contributing to the development of innovative products and solutions. This role requires a strong theoretical background in molecular biology principles combined with extensive hands-on laboratory experience. You will work within a collaborative environment, contributing to projects that have a significant impact on scientific discovery and human health.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute molecular biology experiments, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, cloning, and gel electrophoresis.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, troubleshoot technical issues, and present findings to internal teams.
- Develop and optimize new molecular biology assays and protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, notebooks, and databases.
- Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemists, biochemists, and bioinformaticians, to achieve project goals.
- Adhere to strict laboratory safety standards and quality control procedures.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, qPCR, cloning, DNA/RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis).
- Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques.
- Strong understanding of molecular biology principles and experimental design.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex scientific data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with scientific software for data analysis and presentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
