Job Description
Join Nike’s dynamic social media team as a Work From Home Instagram Engagement Assistant. In this fully remote role, you will be crucial in fostering and growing our online community on Instagram, embodying Nike’s voice and values. You will monitor, respond to, and engage with followers, managing comments, direct messages, and mentions to ensure a positive and consistent brand experience. This position requires a passion for social media, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the Instagram platform and Nike’s brand identity. You will help maintain Nike’s strong online presence, build meaningful connections with our audience, and contribute to our overall social media strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Nike's official Instagram accounts daily for comments, direct messages, and mentions.
- Engage with followers authentically and in a timely manner, upholding Nike's brand voice and guidelines.
- Identify and escalate potential issues, negative sentiment, or high-priority messages to the social media manager.
- Participate in social listening activities to identify trends, opportunities, and audience insights.
- Collaborate with the content team to understand upcoming campaigns and ensure consistent messaging.
- Assist in compiling engagement reports and providing insights into community sentiment and activity.
- Stay up-to-date with Instagram platform changes, trends, and best practices for community engagement.
Required Skills
- Proven experience managing social media accounts, particularly Instagram.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a strong command of grammar and tone.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Strong understanding of social media etiquette and online community dynamics.
- Familiarity with Nike's brand, products, and target audience.
- Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite) or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in social media management or community engagement.
