Job Description
Experian is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Revenue Officer to join our dynamic team in Long Beach, CA. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring the accurate tracking and reporting of revenue streams. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement revenue recognition policies and procedures in compliance with ASC 606 standards.
- Monitor and analyze revenue trends, identifying variances and providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with sales and legal teams to review contracts, ensuring accurate revenue forecasting and booking.
- Manage the end-to-end revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and dispute resolution processes.
- Prepare detailed revenue reports, forecasts, and budgets, assisting in strategic financial planning.
- Identify and resolve revenue leakage points, implementing controls to safeguard financial integrity.
- Support internal and external audits related to revenue recognition and reporting.
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to streamline revenue operations.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in revenue operations, financial analysis, or public accounting with a focus on revenue.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Excel and other tools.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or MBA certification.
- Experience in the information services, financial technology (FinTech), or data analytics industry.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement new financial systems.
