Join Tesco PLC for an exciting seasonal opportunity as an Apple Harvest Worker in Manchester. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and efficient collection of our autumn apple crop, contributing directly to the fresh produce supply for our customers across the UK. You will be part of a dedicated team, working outdoors in a dynamic and fast-paced environment during the apple picking season. This is a hands-on role that requires physical fitness, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Carefully picking apples from trees according to quality standards and ripeness guidelines.
• Handling and packing harvested apples into designated containers, ensuring minimal bruising.
• Transporting filled containers to collection points within the orchard or packing area.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
• Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily harvest targets.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Following supervisor instructions regarding picking techniques and fruit quality.

Required Skills

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry moderate weights (up to 15-20 kg).
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (rain, sun, cold).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
