Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Content Proofreader & Editor to join our remote team. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail, excellent grammar and punctuation skills, and a passion for refining written content. You will be responsible for reviewing and editing various types of content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guides.
Key Responsibilities
- Proofread and edit content for grammatical errors, typos, punctuation, and stylistic inconsistencies.
- Ensure all content adheres to specified style guides (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago, client-specific guidelines).
- Verify factual accuracy and consistency of information across documents.
- Improve clarity, conciseness, and overall readability of written materials.
- Collaborate with content creators and project managers to clarify feedback and implement revisions.
- Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Provide constructive feedback to writers for continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of different style guides.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
