Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic security team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions for our cloud-based infrastructure and applications. You will work with various cloud platforms, ensuring compliance, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. This position offers visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architecture across various cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for cloud environments.
- Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning of cloud systems.
- Monitor cloud security posture, analyze security logs, and respond to security incidents.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps).
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, vulnerability scanners.
- Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and security concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CCSP, CCSK).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Experience in a large enterprise environment.
