Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic team in Vancouver, British Columbia. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex financial statements, ensuring compliance with ASPE and IFRS.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Provide tax planning and compliance services for corporate and individual clients.
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within client operations.
- Participate in audit engagements as required, providing expert accounting insights.
- Stay current with changes in Canadian tax laws and accounting standards.
Required Skills
- Designated Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent international designation).
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and IFRS.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Canadian tax regulations and compliance.
- Previous experience in a client-facing role within a professional services firm.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in a second language relevant to the Canadian business environment.
