Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team in Geelong, Victoria. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report on operational, financial, and compliance audits in accordance with internal audit methodologies and professional standards.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance frameworks.
• Identify control weaknesses, recommend practical solutions, and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
• Prepare clear, concise, and impactful audit reports for various levels of management.
• Collaborate with business units to understand processes, identify risks, and provide advisory services.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks relevant to the financial services sector.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal audit function.
• Participate in special projects or investigations as required.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management within the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk management frameworks, and internal control principles.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CPA, CA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent.
• Experience with regulatory compliance in the Australian financial services sector.
• Proficiency in advanced audit software or enterprise risk management (ERM) systems.
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.
