Job Description
Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Biology Teacher to join our esteemed Science Department for the upcoming academic year. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and challenging biology lessons to students across different grade levels (9-12).
- Develop and implement a comprehensive biology curriculum aligned with school standards and best practices.
- Assess student learning through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Supervise and guide students in laboratory activities and science projects.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.

Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in Biology at the secondary level.
- Demonstrated expertise in current biological concepts and pedagogical best practices.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to create an engaging learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in educational technology and laboratory equipment.
- Eligibility for U.S. teaching certification or willingness to pursue it.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Biology, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) Biology or honors-level courses.
- Prior experience in an independent or Catholic school setting.
