Job Description
We are seeking skilled and motivated Tire Fitters to join our team in Buffalo, NY. As a Tire Fitter, you will be responsible for providing a full range of tire services, ensuring customer vehicles are safe and performing optimally. Key Responsibilities
- Perform tire mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotation services on various vehicle types.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation, advising customers on necessary replacements or repairs.
- Conduct tire repairs, including patching and plugging, according to industry standards.
- Utilize tire changing equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the service bay.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking new tires.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service, explaining services performed and answering questions.
- Perform other general shop duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Tire Fitter or in a similar automotive service role.
- Strong understanding of tire types, sizes, and applications.
- Proficiency in using tire changing machines, wheel balancers, and related tools.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy tires (up to 75 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards in a workshop environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- ASE Certification in Automotive Service Excellence (Tires).
- Experience with different wheel types (alloy, steel, custom).
- Familiarity with inventory systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
