Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and proactive General Helper to join our team on Al Reem Island. This vital role involves providing essential support services across various departments to ensure the smooth daily operations and immaculate upkeep of our properties. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our residents, visitors, and staff, upholding Aldar’s high standards of service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties in designated areas including offices, common areas, residential units, and external spaces.
  • Assist with the efficient movement and setup of furniture, equipment, and supplies as required for various operational needs.
  • Provide hands-on support to maintenance teams for basic tasks, inspections, and minor repairs under supervision.
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste, recycling materials, and adherence to environmental guidelines.
  • Operate basic cleaning equipment safely and effectively, maintaining them in good working condition.
  • Report any damages, necessary repairs, or potential safety hazards immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Provide courteous and helpful assistance to staff and residents, responding promptly to reasonable requests.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and operational procedures.

Required Skills

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Basic communication skills in English.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move moderate weights.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a similar general helper, facilities support, or hospitality role.
  • Familiarity with basic cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to understand and speak basic Arabic is an advantage.
