Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Restaurant Waiter / Waitress to join our prestigious team in Orlando, FL. This is an immediate start position for a dedicated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment. As a Waiter/Waitress at The Capital Grille, you will be the face of our exceptional service, guiding guests through their culinary journey, ensuring their satisfaction, and contributing to a memorable experience. This role offers excellent potential for tips, recognizing your outstanding contributions to guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon their arrival, assisting them with seating arrangements.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer recommendations with confidence and knowledge.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are communicated to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to all service standards.
- Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness, promptly clearing plates and refilling drinks.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to inquiries or concerns with courtesy and efficiency.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other front-of-house team members to ensure seamless service.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Waiter/Waitress in an upscale or fine dining restaurant.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic cash handling procedures.
