Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable General Laborers to join our Demolition Crew in Birmingham. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to start a career in the construction and demolition industry with one of the UK’s leading specialist contractors. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in supporting our skilled teams, ensuring sites are safe, productive, and compliant with all regulations. This physically demanding role requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled demolition operatives with various tasks on site.
- Perform site clean-up, debris removal, and waste segregation.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Set up and dismantle temporary structures and safety barriers.
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision (e.g., grinders, jackhammers, saws).
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to site management.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Support the team in achieving project timelines and objectives.
