Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Azure Specialist to join our dynamic team in Stamford, CT. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and managing robust cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in various Azure services, a strong understanding of cloud architecture best practices, and a passion for leveraging cloud technology to solve complex business challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Implement and maintain Azure infrastructure components including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and Azure Active Directory.
- Monitor Azure environments, optimize resource utilization, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement cloud governance, security, and compliance policies.
- Automate deployment and management tasks using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure-related issues, providing expert-level support.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate cloud solutions into existing workflows.
- Stay current with new Azure services and features, recommending and implementing improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, ExpressRoute)
- Proficiency in Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and identity management
- Experience with Azure security practices and tools (Azure Security Center, Azure Firewall)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Terraform)
- Scripting skills in PowerShell or Azure CLI
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar certifications
- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS)
- Knowledge of database technologies (Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB)
- Experience with Azure monitoring and logging solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
