Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Sector Program Specialist to join our consulting team in Moncton. This role involves working closely with government agencies and public sector organizations to design, implement, and manage critical programs that serve the public good. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, project management, and strategic planning within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the development and execution of public sector programs and initiatives.
- Conduct thorough policy analysis, research, and data gathering to inform program strategies.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with government officials, community leaders, and partner organizations.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to project goals and public accountability.
- Monitor program performance, evaluate outcomes, and prepare comprehensive reports for clients and senior management.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on public policy, service delivery, and operational improvements.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with diverse groups to foster collaboration and consensus building.
- Ensure all program activities comply with relevant government regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in public sector program management or consulting.
- Strong understanding of Canadian public administration, policy development, and governance.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business, or a related field.
- Experience working with various levels of government (federal, provincial, municipal).
- PMP certification or other relevant project management credentials.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is a significant asset.
- Experience with change management methodologies in a public sector context.
