Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Natural Language Processing Engineer to join our innovative R&D team in Guildford. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced AI-powered products and services that impact millions worldwide. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and deploying state-of-the-art NLP models, working on challenges ranging from semantic understanding to generative AI. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate advanced NLP models and algorithms for various applications, including text classification, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, machine translation, and question answering.
• Implement robust and scalable NLP solutions using frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP, machine learning, and AI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ML engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to integrate NLP capabilities into new and existing products.
• Optimize NLP models for performance, accuracy, and efficiency on diverse hardware platforms.
• Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and presentations on research findings and system designs.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python and relevant NLP/ML libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, scikit-learn).
• Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Solid understanding of various NLP techniques, including tokenization, parsing, embeddings (Word2Vec, BERT, GPT), sequence-to-sequence models, and attention mechanisms.
• Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to conduct independent research.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices.
