Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Tester to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team in Burnaby, British Columbia. You will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and stability of our game titles by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts, and enhancing our existing automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test frameworks and test suites for game features and systems.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results, identifying defects and reporting them with clear, concise information.
- Collaborate closely with development, design, and QA teams to understand game features and technical requirements.
- Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality feedback.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to best practices in test automation.
- Perform root cause analysis of issues found during automated testing.
- Stay current with new testing tools, strategies, and technologies.
- Contribute to performance, load, and security testing efforts as needed.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, C#, Java, JavaScript).
- Extensive experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or game-specific automation tools).
- Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with game development engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) or game testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Understanding of database concepts and SQL.
