Job Description

CBRE is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Disposal Specialist to join our team in Cambridge, MA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of asset disposition, ensuring maximum value recovery and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role involves coordinating with various internal departments and external vendors, conducting market analysis, and preparing comprehensive reports on disposal activities. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute the disposition of real estate assets and other corporate properties.
• Conduct market research and analysis to determine optimal disposal strategies and pricing.
• Coordinate with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth and compliant disposal processes.
• Oversee the physical removal, staging, and sale or donation of disposed assets.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all disposal activities, including inventory, sales, and environmental compliance.
• Prepare regular reports on disposal progress, costs, and revenues for management review.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in asset disposition.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with buyers, brokers, and other external parties.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry best practices, and all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in property management, asset disposition, or related real estate fields.
• Strong understanding of real estate market dynamics and valuation principles.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations related to asset disposal.
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Real Estate License or other relevant professional certifications (e.g., RPA, FMA).
• Experience with asset management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Familiarity with contract law pertaining to property sales and leases.
• A track record of successfully maximizing recovery value in asset dispositions.
