Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Revenue Examiner to join our dynamic team in Gateshead. In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing financial records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and internal policies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in financial analysis or auditing. You will play a crucial part in protecting our clients’ financial integrity and contributing to our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of financial statements, invoices, and other revenue-related documentation.
  • Identify potential revenue leakages, inaccuracies, or non-compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to resolve issues and implement best practices.
  • Stay updated on relevant tax laws, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
  • Provide expert advice and support on revenue recognition and compliance matters.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Revenue Examiner, Auditor, or similar financial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • Master's degree in Finance or a related discipline.
  • Experience with large enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Prior experience in a professional services firm.
