Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic laboratory team in Indianapolis. This position is open to qualified international candidates requiring visa sponsorship. The successful candidate will perform a variety of laboratory tests, analyses, and procedures with precision and accuracy to provide critical information for patient diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex medical laboratory tests and procedures according to established protocols and standards.
  • Analyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of results and ensure compliance with quality control standards.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  • Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner, including critical values notification.
  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, and laboratory regulations and policies.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain competency.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Handle patient samples, including phlebotomy if required, ensuring proper identification and specimen integrity.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related science field.
  • ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in various laboratory disciplines (e.g., Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Bank).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in laboratory information systems (LIS) and general computer applications.
  • Eligibility for visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, TN, E-3).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • Previous experience working in a large hospital laboratory setting.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced certification in a specialized laboratory area.
