Job Description
Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management. Ensure efficient and safe workflow, compliance with all regulations, and optimal utilization of resources. Lead and develop a diverse team, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and contribute to the overall success of the supply chain. This role offers visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize daily warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Oversee inventory control, conduct regular audits, and minimize discrepancies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse staff, including performance management and training.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., transport, customer service) and external partners to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Manage equipment maintenance and resource allocation effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international warehousing and customs regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar logistics role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, local equivalents).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eligibility for visa sponsorship (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with automated warehousing systems.
- Forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain).
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
