Job Description
Join the Facilities Management team at CBRE, the global leader in commercial real estate services. We are seeking a dedicated and thorough Office Custodian / Cleaner to join our team in Edmonton for part-time evening shifts. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our employees and clients within our corporate office. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties in office areas, meeting rooms, washrooms, and common spaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop hard surface floors; clean and sanitize washroom fixtures.
- Empty trash and recycling bins, and replace liners.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, shelves, and windowsills.
- Clean glass partitions and entrance doors to ensure a professional appearance.
- Replenish restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company cleaning procedures.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained, cleaned, and stored properly after use.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physical tasks required for cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for evening shifts.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe use.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a custodial or cleaning role, preferably in an office or commercial setting.
- Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) is an asset.
