Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Developer to join our dynamic team in Kitchener, Ontario. This role involves designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle-based solutions to meet our clients’ complex business requirements. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle database technologies, PL/SQL, and a strong understanding of performance tuning and data architecture. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex Oracle database solutions, including stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and data models.
- Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and query optimization to ensure efficient data processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Develop and maintain robust ETL processes using Oracle tools and technologies.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing Oracle applications and databases.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Document technical designs, specifications, and user guides.
- Stay current with the latest Oracle technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle Developer or similar role.
- Expertise in SQL and advanced PL/SQL programming.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Database architecture (12c, 19c or newer).
- Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and normalization techniques.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Oracle databases and queries.
- Familiarity with Oracle development tools (e.g., SQL Developer, TOAD).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or Oracle Fusion Applications.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
