Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to relocate to the UK, as visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various refrigeration systems for our commercial and industrial clients. This role requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, preventative checks, and breakdown repairs on commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
- Install new refrigeration equipment, including pipework, wiring, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in refrigeration systems, using schematics and testing equipment.
- Charge systems with refrigerants, recover and recycle refrigerants safely and in accordance with F-Gas regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete necessary documentation for all work performed.
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to clients on-site.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service outside of regular business hours.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic/Engineer, ideally 4+ years.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent qualification.
- Valid F-Gas certification (Category 1).
- Strong knowledge of various refrigeration systems, including chillers, cold rooms, and freezer systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
- Full valid driving license.
- Eligibility for UK visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with different refrigerant types and recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS).
- Additional HVAC qualifications.
- Prior experience working on industrial sites.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
