Job Description

Join our dynamic team at Allison Transmission as a General Laborer on our Assembly Line. We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to contribute to the production of world-class automatic transmissions. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates who are eager to learn, work with their hands, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality assembly of components, supporting the overall production goals of our facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Load and unload materials and components from production lines.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Assist with material handling and inventory as needed.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
